Operating Room Nurse - Traveler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various surgical procedures and be ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in on-call duty as required by unit needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery, particularly in Orthopedics, Podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures.
• Proficient in circulating; scrubbing experience is a plus.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including day shifts.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a dynamic operating room setting with the potential for exposure to COVID-19 patients. Scrubs are provided, and any color is acceptable during your shifts.

Duration

This is a 13-week travel assignment with full-time hours expected.
