Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse plays a critical role in providing optimal patient care within the surgical environment. This position requires expertise and experience in various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide high-quality care to patients.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room ahead of surgeries.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.
• Participate in postoperative care and patient education.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel.
• Experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, Gynecology, and Orthopedics.
• 3 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to ensure a proper fit for the role.

Work Schedule

• Shift is Day 4x10 hours (10:30 AM - 9:00 PM).
• Weekend assignments are variable and will be discussed during the interview.
• Call requirements are also variable and will be discussed in the interview.

Additional Information

• Maximum request time off (RTO) is 7 days.
• No holiday RTO will be approved during specific blackout dates.
• Full compliance is required to start on time; delays may affect orientation schedules.
• Local candidates are accepted and compensated at the same rate.
• Orientation hours are determined based on contract length, with varying non-billable hours.
