  • Position Description:
    The role involves working in the main operating room, supporting surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedic joints, trauma, and general surgery cases. Candidates will provide circulating nursing services, ensuring optimal patient care before, during, and after surgeries. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a schedule of 12-hour daytime shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., approximately three days a week, with flexibility to meet facility needs.

  • Required Qualifications:
    Active Florida Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license (must be included in submission file), BLS certification, a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, prior travel experience highly preferred, and proficiency in circulating surgical procedures with emphasis on orthopedic joints and trauma, as well as general surgery.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    ACLS certification is preferred at the time of submission.

  • Schedule:
    12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Flexibility is essential, with shifts likely occurring on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday or Friday, based on operational needs. Call as needed, including weekends and holidays.

  • Additional Information:
    All new RN starts must pass a basic specialty competency exam and an EKG interpretation exam, with a minimum score of 80%. All candidates are required to review cardiac rhythms prior to starting. Unit manager interviews are mandatory. No more than 8 days of time off (RTO) are permitted during the 13-week contract, and no RTO is allowed during the first 2 weeks. Compliance clearance timelines should be factored into start date planning.
