Job Requirements

• Current New York State RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
• Ability to both scrub and circulate required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS preferred
• Telemetry experience highly desired
• Strong background in specialty surgical cases such as trauma, transplant, plastics, reconstructive, craniotomy, or orthopedic cases preferred
• Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties
• Scrub and circulate for operative procedures as assigned
• Support complex surgical cases including orthopedic, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma cases
• Assist with specialty procedures involving advanced technologies and robotic surgical platforms
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR team to ensure efficient patient flow
• Respond to rotating scheduling needs, including call, callback, holidays, weekends, and floating when required
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while working in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
