Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Overview

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within the operating room setting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in various surgical procedures and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes during surgeries.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills in managing patient care during operations.
• Maintain sterilization protocols and assist in preparing the operating room.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist in emergency situations as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
• Strong experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic.
• Prior travel experience is essential.
• Knowledge and competency in a range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, total joints, fractures, gynecology, robotic procedures, urology, general surgery, ENT, and orthopedic spine.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings and holidays as required.
