• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)
• Location: Norfolk, Virginia
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• End Date: February 8, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
• Work Setting: On-site operating room and surgical services environment

Operating Room Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent operating room, OR, or perioperative nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Strong knowledge of surgical safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique
• Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Travel OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative experience
• Prepare patients, equipment, supplies, and the operating room for scheduled surgical procedures
• Support operating room procedures while maintaining sterile technique and adherence to surgical safety protocols
• Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the surgical team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
• Complete accurate patient assessments, documentation, and handoffs
• Participate in surgical counts, infection-control practices, and quality-improvement initiatives
