Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a surgical center setting. This position involves preoperative care within a surgical center that handles a variety of procedures, including same-day and overnight stays. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including rotating, day, night, weekend, and on-call duties, supporting operational demands within the surgical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with options for 3 shifts per week or 4 shifts per week. Occasional midnight shifts may be required. Participation in weekend and on-call rotations is mandatory, including one scheduled weekend shift and one secondary call day per schedule period.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 0 years of experience; willingness to wait for license submission; location requirements include a 50-mile radius rule; candidates must include a copy of their unexpired driver's license at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in surgical care, robotics, IV skills, and scrub experience for RN's. Knowledge of multi-procedure cases, including same-day and overnight stays, is highly desirable.
• Additional Information: Surgical center preoperative area, not a standalone surgical facility. EMR system in use is Allscripts, with EPIC going live on April 1. Scrub color/dress code will be provided by the facility. The unit has a case cap of 15 per day, with 55-70 cases scheduled.
• Other Notes: This role supports acute care in a surgical setting with 24-hour call duties, including one weekend shift and secondary call. Schedule includes 6- or 8-hour shifts, with occasional midnight shifts, and requires participation in weekend rotation and on-call schedule, including one weekend scheduled shift and one secondary call day per schedule period.
