Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse operates within a clinical setting, exercising independent judgment and demonstrating awareness of various aspects of patient care. This role encompasses both routine and complex care, utilizing a structured approach to achieve long-term goals and develop contingencies in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to competencies consistent with nursing practice standards.
• Provide nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side effects and treatment efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess the educational needs of patients and families, and provide necessary information and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a relevant nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state licensure.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Additional Requirements

• On-call duties may be required 1-2 times per week and every third weekend.
• Potential floating between multiple locations may be necessary.
• Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 1:1.
