Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position is centered in a Level I Trauma facility with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and assist with patient care in the operating room setting.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and conditions during operations.
• Maintain a sterile environment and uphold safety protocols at all times.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for patients.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting with Level I Trauma exposure.
• Experience in neuro and spine surgeries preferred.
• BCLS certification is required.
• No local candidates will be accepted within a 100-mile radius.
• CPR and Advanced Life Support certifications are a plus.
• Circulate experience is essential.

Shift & Requirements:

• Day shift with 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).
• Require 2-3 weekend shifts per month.
• Must be available to work on holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day to qualify for holiday pay.
• On-call duties are required, totaling approximately 24-36 hours per month.
• No floating between units within the facility.
• Requests for time off greater than 7 days require prior approval.

Additional Information:

• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week, with the possibility of being called off up to three times during a 13-week assignment.
• A 6-month break is required for any travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one-year mark.
• Specialized training and certifications (excluding RQI) are not required.
• Parking is offered at no fee.
