Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility where the clinician provides specialized perioperative nursing care. This role involves preparing the surgical environment, assisting in various procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout operative processes. The OR Nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative team members to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, surgical oncology experience, 2 years of OR experience, telemetry/EKG competency, and epidural/PCA experience preferred, GI surgery experience preferred, valid in California.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional perioperative certifications and experience specific to surgical specialties.
  • Additional Information: The role involves participating in perioperative protocols, maintaining sterile techniques, assisting with patient assessments pre- and post-surgery, and adhering to hospital policies and standards of care. The candidate must be adaptable to emergency protocols and contribute to team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
