Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in an acute care setting. This role involves applying the nursing process to care for veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. The responsibilities include ensuring accurate documentation of patient assessments, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical interventions, and evaluating patient responses. The OR Nurse will also assign and oversee the work of non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 x 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, holidays as needed.
  • Start Date: 10/05/2026
  • End Date: 01/02/2027
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
    • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
    • Valid registered nurse license (NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Level I trauma experience.
    • Able to scrub procedures is a plus.
    • Must be able to circulate endovascular, spine, neuro, ortho, and ortho trauma surgeries.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
    • Ability to circulate orthopedic procedures, trauma, neuro, endovascular, and spine procedures.
