Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech/RN for an Open Heart OR position requiring recent cardiac experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Works in the Open Heart Operating Room (CVOR) within the GMCL unit
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
  • No block scheduling available
  • Call requirement of 1-2 times per week with 24-hour weekend call once every 6 weeks
  • Approximately 6 days of call per month

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac/CVOR specialty required
  • Certification in Surgical Technology (NBSTA or NCCT) preferred

Additional Information

  • Must work 2 of the 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
  • Returning perm staff applying as travelers must have a 2-year break in service
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront prior to offer acceptance
