• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050-$2,160

• Schedule Options: 06:00-18:00 or 11:00-23:00
• Call Requirement: 6 calls per 6-week schedule
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule
• Orientation: 28 hours
• On-Site: Yes

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Washington, DC; pending DC licensure may be accepted at submission with proof, but a DC license must be in hand before the start date
• Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience
• At least 1 previous travel assignment required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience supporting general OR cases and a broad range of surgical specialties
• Comfortable floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Willingness to participate in call coverage, weekend rotation, and required orientation modules
• Flu vaccination required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Circulate and/or scrub as needed for a variety of surgical procedures
• Support cases including total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, ENT/OMF, and other general surgery procedures
• Assist with orthopedic, neurology, bariatrics, ENT, and urology-related surgical lines and cases
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure readiness of equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Adapt to changing case needs and float appropriately within equivalent or lower-acuity units when assigned
• Participate in call coverage and weekend rotation as scheduled
• Complete pre-start and orientation requirements in a timely manner
