Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse position in a healthcare facility, specializing in supporting surgical procedures within a hospital setting. This role involves providing patient care in the operating room environment, assisting with various surgical cases, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols throughout the shift.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Tuesday through Thursday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA; minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience; scrubbing experience in operative cases including orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidates must be within an approximately 60-mile radius of the facility.
    • Must be available for a profile review with MedSol Clinical and interview with the unit manager at the facility.
    • DL (drivers license) must be submitted.
    • Week of orientation must be completed in-state, even if initial modules are remote.
    • No holiday or call requirements; however, scheduled to work on holidays if they fall on scheduled days.
    • No scrubbing for charge nurse or house supervisor.
    • EMR system used is EPIC.
    • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
    • The unit is designated as a Level 1 trauma care setting.
