• Setting: Operating Room / Acute Care / Perioperative Nursing
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Call Requirement: 2 weekdays and 1 weekend of call per month
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Charting System: Epic
• Medication System: Omnicell
• Orientation: 1 week on-unit orientation with virtual HealthStream education

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• PALS certification especially important for pediatric surgical cases
• Experience supporting general surgery and a variety of specialty surgical cases preferred
• Ability to work a weekday schedule with occasional call coverage
• Comfortable adapting quickly in a fast-paced acute-care surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing support in the Operating Room for a broad range of surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Assist with cases including general surgery, ortho fractures and scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, and surgical oncology
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and support workflow using Omnicell
• Respond to call coverage as scheduled to support patient care needs
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused surgical experience from preparation through recovery
