Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and professional nursing team within a busy operating room environment. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures across various specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical interventions.
• Assist with the preparation of the operating room and necessary surgical instruments.
• Utilize advanced technology and adhere to best practices in a Magnet-designated department.
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season as necessary.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3x12-hour days (06:30 - 19:00)
• On-call: Required for up to 4 shifts every 4 weeks.
• Weekend work: Required to work up to one weekend shift every 4 weeks.
• Holidays: Candidates must be available to work at least one holiday period, including Christmas and New Year’s.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting strongly preferred.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required. Radiation badge will be provided by the agency.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred, with strong scrub experience.

Miscellaneous Information

• RTO (Request Time Off) must be specified at the time of submission for consideration.
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks, which can be broken down into multiple hours.
• Parking: A parking permit is required for onsite parking with a nominal registration fee. Additional fees may apply if parking outside designated areas.
