Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. This role requires dedicated professionals who are committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

  • Shifts: 3x12 hour shifts, Days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • On-Call: Required, up to 4 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: Up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
  • Holidays: Required to work at least one holiday period, including Christmas (Dec. 24 - Dec. 26) and New Year's (Dec. 31 - Jan. 1)
  • Floating: Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years strongly preferred; first-timers are accepted
  • Licensure: Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license
  • Certifications: BLS required; Radiation Badge (provided by agency)
  • Trauma Experience: Experience in a Level 1 trauma center strongly preferred
  • Specialized Skills: Scrub experience is highly preferred

Facility Highlights

This position is located in a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility recognized for its Magnet status. The main operating room consists of 21 OR suites covering multiple surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedic, Neurological, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The department is comprised of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.

Additional Information

  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Parking: A registration fee for a parking permit is required, enabling access to designated parking facilities. Additional fees may apply for other parking options.
  • Emergency Response: During hurricane season (June to November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
