Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Lufkin, Texas.
Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the healthcare facility setting. This position involves managing both sterile and non-sterile environments within the perioperative setting. The role requires coordinating patient care, safety, and workflow across various surgical specialties, with opportunities to serve as a scrub and first assist professional. The position begins as soon as possible and is scheduled for the upcoming months, with shift hours typically from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, varying depending on cases.

Position Description:
Start: ASAP. Shift: Days, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotations for early starts and late ends depending on surgical cases. No floating required. Call responsibilities include 2 days per week as 1st or backup, plus one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
The successful candidate will have 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience, with the ability to manage sterile and non-sterile environments, coordinate patient care, and ensure safety across the perioperative period. Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing, with preferences for experience in General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, Ear, Nose, and Throat, and plastics procedures.
Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
A minimum of 2 years of dedicated surgical experience is required.
Additional skills include confident circulating abilities and scrub experience.
Schedule involves 8 hours shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.
Travelers are required to include a permanent home address on the submission and ensure all necessary information and requirements are included; submissions without complete details will be rejected.
Preferred Qualifications:
Scrubbing and first assist experience preferred.
Experience across multiple surgical specialties is highly desirable.
