Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team for a 13-week assignment. The role involves facilitating surgical procedures and ensuring the highest standard of patient care within the operating room environment.

Unit Information

The position will be located in an operating room unit with the following details:

  • Number of Operating Rooms: 13
  • Staffing: 81+ full-time equivalents (FTEs)
  • Trauma Level: Trauma II facility with 24-hour staffing
  • Common Staff Composition: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters on day shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in various surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedic cases.
  • Utilize da Vinci Robotics technology during surgical operations.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Operating Room RN.
  • Required Skills: Experience with da Vinci Robotics and orthopedic procedures.
  • Preferred Skills: Vascular surgery experience is advantageous.
  • Certain Certifications: RN license and BLS certification required.

Additional Information

Successful candidates must be flexible and able to adapt to different surgical scenarios. This position may involve working weekends, and on-call shifts are expected, typically ranging from 3 to 6 shifts per month.
