Neurological Surgical Unit Nurse The organization is seeking a registered nurse for a position in the Neuro Surgical Unit. The role involves delivering safe, quality patient care using evidence-based practices and the nursing process, with a focus on relationship-centered care, safety, and clinical excellence. The position requires effective collaboration and communication with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Clinical Nurse provides competent, safe, and high-quality patient care based on nursing theory and research within the Neuro Surgical Unit. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, collaboration, education, and communication with patients and families, following the organizational standards and practices.
- Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse License, BLS, ACLS, minimum 2 years of ICU, Med surg, or Neuro surg experience, 1 year of travel nursing experience (not required for Per Diem positions), Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program.
- Schedule: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM shift, with minimum commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies and staffing, documenting accurately according to standards, and facilitating patient throughput. The nurse will contribute to clinical development, quality improvement initiatives, and support a patient-centered, safety-oriented environment.
- Certifications and Education Requirements: The role requires an active NYS RN license, BLS, ACLS, and relevant clinical experience as outlined.
