Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Duluth, MN. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a healthcare facility's surgical department. The position requires managing a variety of surgical cases, including General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN, with a focus on robotic surgery and C-section procedures.
Job Details
- Certifications: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Education Requirements: Associate Degree or Certificate.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the healthcare facility.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including at least one travel assignment.
- Schedule: 8-hour Day shifts, 4 days per week, minimum 32 hours. Shift times may vary based on departmental needs and staffing requirements, with flexibility for both 8- and 12-hour shifts.
- Required experience includes General Surgery and circulating, with proficiency in Robotics, C-section, Orthopedics (including Total Joints), Urology, ENT, and OB/GYN.
- Additional Qualities: Candidates should be hardworking, resilient, adaptable, able to manage change effectively, and possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Certification and skills proficiency in robotic surgery, C-section, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, and OB/GYN are highly preferred.
- The position includes responding to on-call or call-back during the week and every 4th to 5th weekend, with a 30-minute response time.
- Charting is preferred to be completed using Epic.
- The contract duration is 11 weeks, starting September 28, 2026, with an end date of December 13, 2026.
- The assignment includes up to 36 hours of low census time, which is non-billable.
