  • Assignment Type: Travel Nursing / Travel RN
  • Schedule: Day shift coverage with unit notes indicating 4 shifts per week
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour days; unit scheduling notes also reference 10-hour day coverage from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 to $1,940

  • Healthcare Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
  • Patient Population: Adults with minimal pediatric outpatient cases
  • Electronic Health Record: Cerner
  • Technology Exposure: DaVinci robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table
  • Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
  • Weekend Coverage: Call on weekends only

Job Requirements

  • Active RN license or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • ADN or BSN required
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
  • Ortho or neuro experience preferred
  • Experience in perioperative nursing and surgical care preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 patient care environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a busy surgical setting
  • Willingness to participate in a call rotation

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room
  • Prepare the operating room and support surgical workflow throughout the day
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures while maintaining sterile technique
  • Monitor patient needs and respond quickly to changes in clinical status
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and OR staff to ensure smooth case progression
  • Support procedures involving advanced surgical technologies, including robotics
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage and weekend call as assigned
