Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in the healthcare provider setting. This position involves providing specialized perioperative patient care, supporting various surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and compliance with clinical standards within the OR environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026 and ending 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications; appropriate licensed practitioner; minimum 1 year of OR experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Lobe resection, Lung resection, Thoracotomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Arthroscopy, Closed reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/discectomy, Open reduction of fractures, Ortho/Spine, Spinal Fusion, Total joint replacement, Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Transurethral resection of the prostate; previous charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred.
• Special Procedures and Equipment: Ability to handle special procedures including laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol, wound management, and experience with surgical equipment such as Stealth, O-arm, ION, Hana table, Jackson table, DV5 robot.
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary. The daily census averages 50 patients across various specialties such as Breast/Plastics, GYN, Eyes, Robots, General, Neuro/Spine, Ortho, Pulmonary, and Urology. Travelers are expected to float to like units within their scope as needed, with a brief orientation provided on the unit. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are non-billable.
