Job Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse is a licensed professional working in a healthcare facility in Temple, TX. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 trauma environment, supporting various surgical specialties including trauma, general, gynecology, orthopedic, transplant, and urology. The OR Nurse will be responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered care during night shifts, ensuring smooth surgical procedures and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Certifications: RN, BLS, with at least 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with trauma, general, gynecology, orthopedic, transplant, or urology experience
  • Education: Valid registered nursing license required
  • Location: Temple, TX
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from November 2, 2026, through January 31, 2027
  • Responsibilities include conducting accurate assessments, developing and evaluating individualized care plans, supporting evidence-based practice, and facilitating effective teamwork in a surgical environment.
  • Scrubs are provided.
  • Patient ratio: 1 to 1.
  • Candidate must be available for weekend shifts, with weekend work required for one of the shifts.
