Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of ED/Trauma or emergency nursing experience required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • TNCC certification required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • ENPC preferred
  • Strong IV insertion skills and a solid foundation in high-acuity patient care
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-moving trauma environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills and confidence in urgent, high-pressure clinical situations

Responsibilities

  • Support trauma care during the initial primary and secondary survey process
  • Perform IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, and related emergency interventions
  • Assist with chest tube procedures, traction, central line placement, and arterial line placement as needed
  • Help manage mass transfusion workflows using a Level 1 rapid infuser
  • Provide OR nursing support when needed and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team
  • Deliver rapid, skilled bedside support for emergent procedures
  • Maintain clear documentation and contribute to a smooth, efficient trauma response
