Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) in Louisville, KY. We are seeking an experienced RN with a minimum of 2 years in the OR. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you will work alongside a dedicated team to provide exceptional patient care.

Unit Information: The surgical volumes fluctuate, and you will be working with various patient types including vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gyn, and Carotis/Endar.

Required License and Certifications:

• RN: BLS

Skills Required:

• Circulating experience
• Foley catheter management
• Chest tube management
• AED experience

Support within the Department: You will have management support, as well as 1 RN and 1 Tech in each case.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: Cerner
• IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Unit specific equipment: Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretcher
• Robotics: Davinci D5 (robotics experience preferred, not required)

Floating: You may relieve others for lunch breaks anywhere in the OR.

Orientation:

• Full one week of orientation
• Shift times: 3 days 0630-1900, 4 days 0630-1700, 3 days 1030-2300

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation based on unit needs
• On call: Yes, with a 40-minute response time
• Holiday expectations based on unit needs
• Approval of RTO: NM approval
• Schedule cycle: Made in 6-week increments
