Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) in Louisville, KY. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment with a focus on various patient types and diagnoses, including vascular, neuro, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gyn, and Carotis/Endar.

Unit Information: The OR unit has fluctuating surgical volumes with a team that includes management, 1 RN, and 1 Tech in each case.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, and first-time travelers will not be accepted.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• RN: BLS
• Tech: BLS, CST

Skills Required:

• Circulating experience
• Foley catheter management
• Chest tube management
• AED experience

Technology and Equipment:

• EMR: Cerner
• IV Pump: Plum ICU Medical
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Unit specific equipment: Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretcher
• Robotics: Davinci D5 (robotics experience preferred, not required)

Scheduling and Orientation:

• Weekend rotation based on unit needs
• On-call required with a 40-minute response time
• Holiday expectations based on unit needs
• Schedule cycles are made in 6-week increments
• NEO orientation: 1 week with various shifts (3 days 0630-1900, 4 days 0630-1700, 3 days 1030-2300)
