Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

The Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical support in the operating room while demonstrating strong leadership and clinical skills. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in the operating room in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure a cohesive team approach to patient care.
• Manage supplies and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
• Ensure timely preparation and communication with families regarding patient status.
• Update physician preference cards and assist during surgical cases as needed.
• Supervise personnel providing patient care in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room with expertise in Orthopedic, Neurology, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, and Gynecological procedures.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is required; CNOR certification is preferred.
• Willingness to float between multiple locations as needed.
• AHCA Fingerprinting is required prior to the start date.

Work Schedule

This position primarily involves day shifts, with hours ranging from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
