Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room/Surgery team. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in surgical nursing with proven experience in joint, neuro, orthopedic, and vascular procedures. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and execute surgical procedures effectively.
• Monitor patient responses before, during, and after surgery, and intervene as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, including the management of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Participate in the education and training of staff and newly hired nurses.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical nursing role.
• Demonstrated competence in joint, neuro, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures (skill level of 3 or higher required).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proficient in the Cerner documentation system.

Additional Information

This position requires a flexible schedule with on-call responsibilities. The successful candidate may also be required to float to other departments as needed.
