MID-SHIFT OPERATING ROOM RN CIRCULATOR CONTRACT – MIDWEST LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for a highly skilled Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse Circulator in Jackson, Michigan. Operating within the surgical services department at a premier Level II Trauma regional medical center, this position features a favorable mid-shift schedule (08:30 AM - 21:00 PM / 8:30am - 9pm). If you are an experienced perioperative nurse with strong competencies in robotics, orthopedic trauma, and neurosurgery, this contract is built for you!

 

PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,646.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $35.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $52.50/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Mid-shifts, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM (08:30 - 21:00). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call & Weekend Requirements: Standby call commitments include 1 call shift per week (21:00 PM - 07:00 AM) and 1 weekend rotation every sixth week (Saturday/Sunday 07:00 AM - 19:00 PM or 19:00 PM - 07:00 AM). On-call rate applies at $5.00/hr ($138.59/hr call-back rate).
  • Surgical Scope & Case Mix: Comprehensive perioperative circulating coverage across high-acuity surgical lines. Mandatory expertise required in Robotics, Orthopedic Trauma, and Neurosurgery. (Please note: Open heart surgical experience is NOT required).
  • Core Responsibilities: Leading care coordination and quality patient delivery within the operating suite using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), supervising surgical teams, interdisciplinary communication, variance resolution, and meticulous medical record documentation.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of clinical OR circulating experience in a Level II or higher Trauma Center is strictly required. Proven proficiency in Robotics, Ortho Trauma, and Neuro cases is required.
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan State RN License must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
