    Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room / Surgical Center (Preop)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shifts: 8- or 10-hour days (6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) | Rotating weekends required (8-hour shifts, Saturday or Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) | On-call requirement: 1–2 second calls per scheduling period, including one 24-hour on-call shift per weekend (7:00 AM–7:00 AM); 30-minute call response time required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide preoperative nursing care within a hospital-based surgical center setting (not a freestanding facility)
    • Support a high-volume surgical environment handling 55–70 cases per day across 15 suites, including same-day and overnight-stay procedures
    • Perform and maintain IV access with proficiency
    • Apply surgical care knowledge across a broad range of procedures, including robotic-assisted cases
    • Float to the OR holding area as needed
    • Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on-call scheduling as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unrestricted RN license (copy of unexpired driver's license required at time of submission; any licensing hits must be disclosed at submission)
    • Current BLS certification
    • Strong IV insertion and management skills
    • Demonstrated surgical care knowledge, including familiarity with robotic procedures
    • Ability to meet a 30-minute on-call response time requirement
    • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility location
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a preoperative or perioperative nursing role
    • Familiarity with Sunrise EMR; experience with or willingness to transition to EPIC (go-live scheduled)
