Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts | Friday, Saturday, Sunday (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the surgical experience, including pre-op, intraoperative, and post-op phases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient OR operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of surgical specimens and medications
- Uphold sterile field integrity and adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout all procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an Operating Room setting
- Ability to work weekend night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- No call requirement for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in surgical environments
