Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 07:00–19:30
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients throughout the surgical experience, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient OR operations
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control and surgical safety protocols
- Monitor and document patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition during surgical procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation as required, including weekday, weekend, and holiday call, distributed evenly among the team on a rotating 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or a compact license
- BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an Operating Room or perioperative nursing setting
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations including weekends and holidays as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification or pursuit of perioperative nursing certification
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterile technique
