Contract | 13 Weeks | Days – 4x10hr (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) or 5x8hr (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | On-site | Call required: 3 first calls, 3 second calls, and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate surgical cases and pull necessary supplies and equipment in preparation for and during procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Ensure timely case progression, maintain accurate physician preference cards, and communicate updates to patient families
- Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases as needed
- Supervise personnel delivering patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Experience with Robotics, Orthopedic, General, and OB/GYN surgical cases
- C-section experience required
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical environment
