Key Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care activities for teen and adult surgical populations in an outpatient operating room setting
- Provide quality nursing care across orthopedic, urologic, plastics, and general surgical cases
- Navigate multiple computer systems including EPIC EMR to document and coordinate patient care
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Function effectively in a fast-paced OR environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented surgical environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3+ years of OR nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated experience with robotic, laparoscopic, microsurgery, and neurosurgery procedures
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Flu vaccination required (November 1 – April 1); exemptions must be approved prior to assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an outpatient surgery center setting
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Comfort managing a high variety of surgical case types within a single shift
