Key Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Operating Room setting
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Navigate multiple computer systems and EMR platforms, including EPIC, in a rapid-paced surgical environment
- Participate in call rotation as required by the unit
- Provide quality care across a range of surgical procedures including robotic, laparoscopic, microsurgery, and neurosurgery cases
- Work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining the ability to work independently
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3+ years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Robotic, laparoscopic, microsurgery, and neurosurgery experience required
- Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client approved
- Must meet facility credentialing and compliance requirements prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
- Experience working with diverse surgical patient populations across all age groups
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
