Contract | Days | 4x10s, Monday–Friday (rotating day off based on schedule) | Start time between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
- Support pre-op workflows including preparation of open heart and total joint patients
- Manage PACU Phase II workflows and facilitate rapid patient turnover
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with clinical protocols
- Utilize critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment throughout all phases of patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with demonstrated endoscopy experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Outpatient surgery and perioperative nursing experience
- Experience with moderate sedation and high-volume, rapid patient turnover environments
- Acute care facility background
