    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-Call: 1x per week & 1 weekend per month

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a 10-room OR suite with an average daily census of 20–25 patients
    • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care throughout the operative experience
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
    • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned, including one call shift per week and one weekend per month
    • Adhere to facility emergency response protocols, which may include assignment to an emergency team during declared events
    • Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, with an expectation to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
    • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
    • BLS certification (AHA) required
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
    • NURSYS report must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date) and submitted with profile
    • Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
    • First-time travelers will not be accepted for this assignment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • PALS certification preferred
    • CNOR certification preferred
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a perioperative setting
