Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting, with a focus on trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases
Participate in on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff, occurring approximately every 6 weeks and including up to 6–8 shifts per 6-week period (including nights, evenings, and weekends)
Float between like units within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Adhere to all facility compliance, scheduling, and holiday coverage requirements, including willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
Valid California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
Current BLS certification required
Proficiency with Epic charting system
Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
Familiarity with floating to sister or affiliate facilities
Ability to accommodate a variable block schedule as determined by manager discretion
