Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Nights | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care
- Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring clinical intervention
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical findings and patient outcomes, modifying the plan of care accordingly
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures and document timely, appropriate interventions; fulfill on-call duties including 1–2 call nights per week and 1–2 weekend call shifts (24-hour), with charge duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact state RN license
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to float to other departments as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing setting
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- National professional nursing certification or advanced nursing education (BSN or MSN)
