Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM starts)
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures including Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and Craniotomy
- Perform intraoperative nursing duties for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Dental Surgery
- Support combined Neurosurgery and Head and Neck procedures as well as free flap reconstructive cases
- Manage both open and endoscopic surgical cases
- Float to other affiliated facilities as needed based on departmental requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand prior to start
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate
- Previous travel assignment experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with liver transplant, kidney transplant, neurosurgery, spine, or vascular procedures
- Familiarity with the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
