    Travel RN – Operating Room / Surgery

    San Antonio, TX

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (schedule may vary each day based on case start times) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide circulating RN coverage across surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery
    • Deliver routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
    • Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
    • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
    • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
    • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact RN license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty
    • Demonstrated experience circulating in surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and/or Plastic Surgery
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • Ability to manage contingencies in a fast-paced surgical environment and make appropriate care assignments and delegations
