    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery / Recovery Room

    Location

    Reno, Nevada

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | 3 x 12-hour variable shifts, Monday–Friday, shift start times between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM | 36 guaranteed hours per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across an entire episode of care
    • Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers
    • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating knowledge of age-specific cognitive and psychosocial needs
    • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure safe, individualized patient outcomes
    • Apply continuous intensive mental effort to maintain patient safety and exercise sound clinical judgment and decision-making
    • Float to other areas within the organization up to competency level as department needs require
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in surgery and/or recovery room settings
    • Ability to work a variable schedule including weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shifts as needed
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-volume or Level II Trauma Center environment
    • Familiarity with same-day surgery workflows and post-anesthesia recovery care
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing department needs and census fluctuations
