Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a hospital operating room environment
- Perform scrub duties in support of surgical procedures
- Perform circulating duties throughout the course of surgical cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technicians, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Support patients through the perioperative process including pre-surgical preparation and post-procedure handoff
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room RN experience
- Demonstrated scrub experience in the OR setting
- Demonstrated circulating experience in the OR setting
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
