Key Responsibilities
Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a high-volume operating room environment handling 20–40 cases per day across 28 total suites
Support a wide range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic colon and appendix surgeries, cystoscopy, DaVinci robotic cases, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, and urology cases
Collaborate with surgical technologists and charge nurses to facilitate safe and efficient case flow
Document and manage patient information using EPIC OP TIME electronic medical records system
Fulfill assigned weeknight and weekend on-call shifts with a 30-minute call response time requirement
Float as needed to other surgery teams or sterile processing department (SPD) if qualified
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in general surgery, gynecology, and urology
Must have hands-on experience in general surgery, urology, GYN, and ENT
EPIC experience required
Must comply with drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen
Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local rate adjustment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in facilities and operating rooms of similar size (28+ suites) within the last 2 years
Familiarity with DaVinci robotic-assisted surgical cases
Experience working alongside surgical technologists in a collaborative OR team environment
