Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting throughout the perioperative process
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as required during surgical procedures
- Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and responses throughout surgical care
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New York (or compact license eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an operating room or surgical setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and perioperative nursing standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience in both scrub and circulating roles
- Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties
