    Registered Nurse – Operating Room

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days (4x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) with possible night shift rotation (19:00–7:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment serving complex surgical patients
    • Scrub and/or circulate on a broad range of surgical cases including general, bariatric, colorectal, oncology, orthopedic, and neurological procedures
    • Assist with and support DaVinci robotic surgical cases as assigned
    • Fulfill weeknight call requirements averaging 1–2 nights per week and weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks (24-hour Saturday or Sunday call, approximately 1–2 days per month)
    • Participate in bi-weekly facility orientation and adhere to unit scheduling requirements; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
    • Chart accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC electronic health record system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or a pending Nebraska RN state license
    • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Demonstrated experience with the majority of the following case types: Lap Chole, Lap Appy, Ex Lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, and DaVinci cases
    • Proficiency with EPIC charting system
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • DaVinci robotic surgery experience highly preferred
    • Experience in Oncology, Orthopedic, and/or Neurological surgical cases highly preferred, with a predominant skill set in Neuro (approximately 3 out of 4 cases)
    • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
