    Registered Nurse – Operating Room

    Location

    Omaha, NE | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Primarily Days (4x10-hour shifts, 7:00–17:00) with possible night shift rotation (19:00–6:30); weeknight call required 1–2 nights per week on average; weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks (24-hour Saturday or Sunday, 1–2 days per month); block schedules cannot be accommodated

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, functioning as a scrub or circulating RN across a broad range of surgical specialties
    • Perform and assist with complex oncology and general surgery cases including Whipple, Esophagectomy, Bowel Resection, Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Adrenalectomy, Neck Dissection, Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, Free Flaps, and related oncologic procedures
    • Float across surgical specialties as required; must be prepared to work outside of primary hired specialty
    • Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled
    • Chart accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC
    • Adhere to facility policies including a 100% nicotine-free workplace requirement
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Nebraska state license accepted (pending considered)
    • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
    • Oncology surgery experience with general surgery experience required
    • Minimum Level 2 Trauma experience required
    • BLS certification required
    • Proficiency in EPIC required
    • First-time travelers are not accepted
    • Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Level 1 Trauma experience strongly preferred
    • DaVinci robotic surgery experience highly preferred
    • Experience in Oncology, Orthopedics, and/or Neurosurgery highly preferred
    • Well-rounded OR background with ability to adapt across multiple surgical service lines
