In this vital role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and sterile.
- Assist the surgical team during open-heart procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and anticipating surgeon needs.
- Monitor patient's physiological status, vital signs, and response to anesthesia and surgical interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all care accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for patient safety and quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Demonstrated experience in Cardiac Open-Heart (CVOR) procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Commitment to obtaining BSN within three (3) years of hire, if not already held, with relevant experience.

Shift Details
