Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 1–2 late shifts expected per week | Rotating weekend call
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circulator duties in an active surgical suite operating 4–5 ORs daily across a broad range of service lines
- Support procedures in general, bariatric, vascular, urology, gynecology, neuro, orthopedic, spine, ENT, podiatry, and robotic surgery
- Collaborate with daily boardrunner, scrub technician, and first assistant staffed to each room
- Assist with total joint procedures requiring additional scrub or first assistant coverage
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float within surgical services departments (within scope) in the event of low census
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience as an RN Circulator
- Must meet travel contract eligibility requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in orthopedic and spine surgery strongly preferred, as these are the primary service lines
- Familiarity with robotic surgical platforms and multi-specialty OR environments
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
